One could argue that the climax of the Book of Genesis should be chapter 45: the joy of reunion, the forgiveness of sins, the prospect of life and prosperity among the sons of Israel. But five chapters follow, and the key issue is how, both Jacob and Joseph, would return home, and why. One word in this section is key: the word “staff.” With this message, we come to the end of our Genesis sermon series.
